Writing is motion
Before children learn to write, they need to understand which movements are necessary to form the letters. Also the writing pressure, speed and rhythm are crucial parts of handwriting. The interaction of these aspects is called writing motor skills.
Scientists at the Schreibmotorik Institut explore how to support the children’s writing motor skills ideally and individually.
Inspired by their results, STABILO Education creates material for pre-school, primary-school and at home for the German and Austrian markets. The aim is to give children a good start into learning to write.
